Description

  • Attribute mapping of the Inventor attributes defined for instances in iPart Author fails.
  • Step to reproduce:
  1. Add a String type global attribute through Type and Attribute Management. Assume its name is TEST_STR01.
  2. Add a new global attribute for EPM Document and select TEST_STR01 at Choose Global Attribute step. Set its Internal Name to TEST_ATTR_01.
  3. Input MSP:DESCRIPTION for Autodesk Inventor at Set Properties step when creating attribute TEST_ATTR_01.
  4. Set Numbering Parameter for Autodesk Inventor to MSP:PARTNUMBER, and Naming Parameter to MSP:TITLE.
  5. Create a new Invertor part, create a new table, add Title and Description column and set their values.
  6. Save the table, use Generate Files in RMB menu to generate instance files. Save generic file at the same time if needed.
  7. Upload generic and instance files.
