How to verify the minimum bending radius of a wire or cable in Creo Elements/Direct Modeling
Modified: 15-Apr-2024
Applies To
- Creo Elements/Direct Modeling 18.10 to 20.6
Description
- Report shows a minimum calculated radius value that appears to be wrong
- Reported min radius is much tighter than it appears on screen
- Tools tab > Tools group > Check bend radius > Inquire Bendradius results in output:
"Sections of the wire or cable violate the minimum bend radius.
<selected cable> Bendradius: <minimum bend radius from cable or wire definition> MinRad: <minimum or tightest calculated bending value>"
<selected cable> Bendradius: <minimum bend radius from cable or wire definition> MinRad: <minimum or tightest calculated bending value>"
- Projecting a cable onto a workplane and approximating the minimum radius shows a value different than shown in the Cabling module Inquire Bendradius report
