Description

  • In Windchill Workgroup Manager 13.0.0.0 and NX 2212, when opening an assembly with Structure Only and then opening it from model tree, a NX component will be opened in a new window unexpectedly. 
  • The File Name this problematic component has been renamed via switching upper/lower case from common space before.
  • The issue does not occur if the file name of components is extended or completely changed.
  • Steps to reproduce:
    1. create a part with file name aaa.prt and save to ws
    2. create an assembly, add the part and save to ws
    3. checkin the assembly and part
    4. remove all of the objects from ws and clear cache
    5. rename the file name of the part from aaa.prt to AAA.prt
    6. make sure the load option of NX is Structure Only
    7. open the assembly from common space
    8. in model tree, select the top assembly, right click Open > Assembly
    9. go to the Windows pull-down menu in NX, the renamed component could be seen.
