Why the configuration "cpus_to_use" cannot be set to zero as default value like the option "generative_number_cores" in Creo Parametric

Modified: 06-Oct-2023

Applies To

  • Creo Parametric 9.0.0.0 to 9.0.5.0
  • Creo Parametric 10.0.0.0 to 10.0.1.0
  • Creo+

Description

  • The "generative_number_cores" feature enables you to specify the number of CPU cores utilized during generative computations. If you input a value of 0, the system will intelligently handle the allocation of cores. Consequently, it is crucial to leave the "cpus_to_use" value empty to ensure the default configuration is applied. This specific behavior aligns with "generative_number_cores," where a value of 0 signifies that the system should dynamically manage the core allocation, rather than utilizing all available cores.
