Creo Parametric becomes unresponsive after detaching "Symbol Customization" panel when config option "drawing_setup_file" points to ".dtl" file stored in Windchill.

Description

  • When .dtl file is saved in Windchill location, Creo Parametric Freeze when trying to move the "Symbol Customization panel"
  • Creo Parametric becomes unresponsive, after detaching/moving the "Symbol Customization” pallet from the original location to any location and revisiting the "Symbol Tab"
  • Issue is not reproducible if ".dtl" file is stored on local drive
  • Issue is not reproducible with Standalone Creo Parametric
  • Steps to reproduce issue:-
    • Import and checkin .dtl" file in to Windchill through Creo Parametric
    • Set the config option "drawing_setup_file" pointing to above".dtl" file from Windchill
    • Register Windchill in Creo
    • Create a Part and Related Drawing and Checkin both
    • Open the Drawing and Click on the symbols created on Drawing .detach/move that "Symbol Customization” pallet will appear
    • Now  detach / move the "Symbol Customization” pallet to any other location
    • Close the Drawing and reopen it
    • Navigate to Symbol Tab and observe that the "Symbol Customization” pallet fails to appear (or to be selected) and Creo Parametric becomes unresponsive
