- Create Part from Body action from Model Tree unexpectedly succeeds when External Components permitted for reference creation is restricted
- Consider following settings in >File >Options >Assembly confguration as shown in snaphot below, or following settings in config.pro)
default_ext_ref_scope skeleton_model ref_control_allow_exceptions no
- Upon creation attempt of an External Copy Geometry feature in a part, if a part (and not a skeleton) is selected as Reference Model:
- Action fails, and this is expected
- The following error message is issued in Message Area
Reference cannot be used due to the scope setting of SKELETON for Environment.
- But if Create Part from Body action is called from Model Tree, action unexpectedly succeeds
