Mathcad Prime is offered in two license types

• Floating License: A license that can be used by one user at a time. Referred to as a “Concurrent User” in the licensing basis table. Floating licenses enable multiple users to “share” licenses on the same server, as long as the number of concurrent users doesn’t exceed the number of licenses purchased. Floating licenses are great for teams that need flexibility across multiple users or machines.


• Locked License: A license that is limited to being used on the computer on which it is installed. Referred to as a “Designated Computer” in the licensing basis table. Locked licenses are ideal for individual users or setups where the software is always used on the same workstation.

*PTC will only test reported issues on a Microsoft supported OS release. You may continue to run PTC Mathcad Prime on published releases which are no longer officially supported by Microsoft; however, PTC security policy does not allow use of unsupported software.
