BOBST Selects Servigistics to Optimize its Service Supply Chain

BOBST, one of the world’s leading suppliers of equipment and services to packaging and label manufacturers, has selected PTC’s Servigistics Service Parts Management solution to help the renowned manufacturer and innovator improve operational excellence by optimizing its complex service supply chain.

BOBST has used MCA technology for service parts planning since 2007, being the first European implementation of MCA. PTC acquired the MCA technology in 2012 and successfully merged the best capabilities into the Servigistics code base. BOBST follows the example of other innovators including Pratt & Whitney, who also migrated from MCA to Servigistics to gain additional capabilities and deliver increased business value.

Servigistics is a purpose-built, best-of-breed enterprise solution delivering the industry’s broadest, deepest, and most robust service parts optimization capabilities. These capabilities give manufacturers and organizations control over the balance between inventory levels and service levels. Servigistics also offers features including historical and causal forecasting, multi-echelon inventory optimization and demand planning. Coupled with ThingWorx, Servigistics also empowers service parts planners to produce more accurate forecasts by leveraging accurate, reliable asset utilization data.

BOBST will begin migrating from the MCA solution to Servigistics and will complete the upgrade later this year.
