Entities fail to import in ThingWorx with the error "Unable to Convert from com.sun.org.apache.xerces.internal.dom.DeferredElmentSimpl to PASSWORD"

Description

  • When importing entities from one ThingWorx server to another, following error appears in ThingworxStorage/logs/ApplicationLog.log:
    • Internal error.java.lang.Exception: Conversion Error on Field password: Unable to Convert from com.sun.org.apache.xerces.internal.dom.DeferredElmentSimpl to PASSWORD
  • Exporting and importing of entities results in the following error in ThingworxStorage/logs/ApplicationLog.log:
    • Unable To Convert From com.sun.org.apache.xerces.internal.dom.DeferredElementNSImpl to PASSWORD
  • Following an import attempt of a pre-8.3 entity on a post-8.3 ThingWorx Platform instance the following is seen in the ThingworxStorage/logs/ApplicationLog.log:
    • [L: INFO] [O: c.t.w.Importer] [I: ] [U: [USERNAME]] [S: ] [T: http-nio-80-exec-1] Starting entity import

  • Unable to Import things containing Properties with persistent values
  • Errors appearing in ThingworxStorage/logs/ApplicationLog.log:
    • Unable To Convert From org.apache.xerces.dom.DeferredElementNSImpl to INFOTABLE
    • Internal error: java.lang.Exception: Import Failed: Unable To Convert From org.apache.xerces.dom.DeferredElmentSimpl to Infotable
