Industry 4.0 Technologies for Resilient and Sustainable Manufacturing

The pressure is intensifying on industry to address its carbon footprint, a movement driven by consumers, suppliers, and increasingly stringent legislation such as the European Green Deal, the Paris Agreement, and UN SDGs. Adding to this challenge, manufacturing is still reeling from the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, which exposed weaknesses in industrial supply chains. The vulnerabilities highlighted by the pandemic increased the concept of resilience and accelerated the digital transformation already in progress.

These are the concepts discussed during this PTC Talk with guest speaker, Arpita Chari, from the Sustainable and Virtual Productions group in the Production Systems division at Chalmers University in Gothenburg, Sweden.
