This is the final post in our series on the fundamentals of digital transformation. Read our first post about innovation velocity and our second post about the importance of partnerships.

Disruptive technologies like the industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) and augmented reality (AR) are creating new opportunities and accelerating the convergence of the physical and digital worlds today.

Take Woodward, Inc., for example. With the IIoT, Woodward, the largest manufacturer and service provider of control systems and control system components for the aerospace and industrial markets, can improve processes and gather real-time insights that were not previously available.

BAE Systems, a defense, security, and aerospace company, uses IIoT data to get the right instructions queued up for its employees. They also use AR to deliver these visual step-by-step instructions to ensure that the assembly process is efficient and completed correctly.

By using PTC and Microsoft technology solutions, BAE Systems is able to train new employees 30% more efficiently, helping them achieve a 50% faster delivery time on products to market.

Check out our infographic below to learn how disruptive technologies can help you achieve faster, more accurate, and consistent results – today.
