Develop an understanding of Process Planning best practices with help from PTC

This Rapid Outcome is the third in a series that helps realize a mature Manufacturing Engineering solution in Windchill by teaching MPMLink Process Planning concepts and best practices. These concepts and best practices will help shop floor personnel by providing the necessary work instructions that are needed in order to build, inspect, repair and/or maintain manufacturing parts and assemblies.

How it works:

This rapid outcome is a 4-hour engagement and includes the following activities:

  1. PTC will host a kick-off meeting to set expectations.
  2. PTC will review your current Manufacturing BOM (MBOM) Configurations through a live demonstration of capabilities.
  3. PTC will facilitate Best Practices Workshop.
  4. PTC will conclude with Q&A and next steps.

Prerequisites:

The following criteria must be met before this service can be consumed:

  • You must have MBOMs in Windchill.
  • You must have a license for MPMLink.
  • You must provide a demo on current MBOM solution in Windchill.
  • You must be familiar with shop floor work instructions concepts.
