Principles of ThingWorx System Integration

Learn how to design, document and connect disparate systems to your ThingWorx environment

In this service, a PTC Expert will review best practices for integrating 3rd party systems into the ThingWorx platform. We will also help you plan and begin a high-level design of one system integration for one use case. This will enable you to properly capture all the required information for the integration upfront and accelerate your integration design and development.

This service includes two optional hours for post-delivery mentoring through Office Hours. These hours are to be scheduled with PTC before concluding the core service. Office Hours must be scheduled and consumed within one week of the conclusion the core service or the time will expire. This time may be used to review designs or simple functionality built.

How it Works

This is an 18 hour engagement and includes the following activities:

  1. Best practices for integrating 3rd party systems into the ThingWorx platform
  2. Create a high-level design for your integration for one use case. Additionally, this time can be used to review an existing integration design if one has already been started

Prerequisites

The following criteria must be met before this service can be consumed:

  • You must have an identified use case for integration
  • Access to a Subject Matter Expert for the 3rd party application to be integrated
  • Access to necessary documentation and knowledge of how to retrieve and/or create data in 3rd party system
  • You must have gone through Fundamentals of IoT Development with ThingWorx (or equivalent)
