Prepare Your 3D Data for Vuforia Studio

How it works

This is a 10 hour engagement and includes the following activities:

1. Review of 3D CAD
2. CAD Optimization and Documentation (off-line)
3. Review and Walkthrough of methods used

Prerequisites

The following criteria must be met before this service can be consumed:

• You must have a documented high value use case for AR
• You must have identified CAD data to be used for the AR experience
• You must have shared CAD and any use case documentation with PTC one week prior to kickoff
• The CAD must be in a hierarchical assembly
• CAD cannot be just be 1 part
• CAD must be an assembly with subparts
• The CAD must be complete for the use case and free of major defects

If possible, CAD should be delivered in a .ASM format. The next best case is the native CAD format from your specific authoring tool. Otherwise .STP format would be acceptable
