Today’s most advanced products—from AI hardware to industrial machinery—are more complex, integrated, and engineering-intensive than ever before. Industrial enterprises are racing to reinvent themselves into software-driven tech companies. Advancements in 3D interoperability, advanced graphics and simulation-capable compute from edge-to-cloud, and the rise of generative AI for every domain, are bringing new opportunities for industrial enterprises to digitalize their physical processes.
PTC is integrating NVIDIA Omniverse libraries into Creo® computer-aided design (CAD) and Windchill® product lifecycle management (PLM) solutions, helping to transform how manufacturers and product companies design, simulate, and collaborate on complex products in the future.
Centralize product data for streamlined digital twin creation and visualization
By integrating Omniverse libraries into Windchill, teams will be able to visualize and interact with the most current Creo design data in a shared, immersive environment. Thus, empowering cross-functional teams to collaborate on complex product designs with real-time, high-fidelity 3D representations, improving accuracy, speed, and decision-making across the product lifecycle.
This integration will provide every user—from engineering to marketing—with access to traceable, version-controlled product information, enabling teams to make decisions faster and reduce development risk. Engineers will be able to explore multi-disciplinary assemblies, simulate real-world performance, and collaborate across functions using live data directly sourced from Windchill. These digital twin workflows can enable companies to accelerate the development process, drive higher product quality, and democratize access to complex 3D design content.
Facilitate easy integration and scalable data sharing
The announced integrations stem from PTC’s history of collaborating with NVIDIA to deliver the advanced hardware powering the AI revolution—from high-performance PCBs to next-generation data center systems. Leveraging PTC’s Creo and Windchill solutions to streamline product development and AI factory optimization processes with precision, speed, and scalability. Now, with the integration of Omniverse libraries, a new embedded viewport in Windchill will bring real-time simulation and immersive visualization directly into the heart of development workflows. This deeper integration will enable companies to enhance the speed and quality of innovation and is expected to serve as a blueprint for extending these capabilities to other AI hardware partners across the ecosystem. PTC is collaborating with NVIDIA along with other ecosystem partners on the NVIDIA Omniverse DSX Blueprint, which aims to set a new standard for developing multi-generation, gigawatt-scale AI infrastructure. This effort will enable engineers to continuously optimize performance, energy efficiency, and sustainability.
Enable lifelike product views and faster, more collaborative design cycles
Digitalization will allow industries to design and build physical products and environments in physically accurate 3D simulation, before constructing a physical replica – helping to increase efficiency and reduce costs, and accelerating the training and development of Physical AI systems. And when the 3D simulations are connected to the physical world, companies can continuously operate and optimize their digital and physical twins through real-time, AI-enabled monitoring.
Digitalization is challenging for industries grounded in the physical world. Massive amounts of digital and physical world data from legacy systems can create silos. PTC and NVIDIA are working together to enable developers to unify the physical world of data and applications - shaping a future where AI doesn’t just understand the world—it moves through it. Stay tuned for more information as the collaboration expands and we begin to deliver on this vision.
