Within Creo Parametric, many capabilities for simulation are already at your fingertips. That’s right. With mechanism design tools, found within PTC’s flagship design software, you can create mechanical connections and simulate motion on kinetic assemblies.

Use Creo Parametric to do the following:

  • Simulate the range of motion between components in your moving assemblies
  • Create gear connections that simulate the gear ratios
  • Create cam connections that enable Creo Parametric parts to “push” other parts they come into contact with
  • Check for collisions between moving components.

Best of all, if you have Creo Parametric, you can already use these mechanism design capabilities to define and capture animations and run dynamic interference checks. You can also run an analysis to evaluate how your design will perform based on position, velocity, and acceleration. Results come back graphically.
