Modified: 05-Jan-2023

Applies To

  • Creo View Adapters 2.0 to 9.1
  • Creo Elements/Direct Drafting 17.00 to 20.5
  • Creo Elements/Direct Modeling 17.00 to 20.5
  • Windchill PDMLink 10.1 to 12.1
  • Visualization Services (WVS)

Description

  • If a Creo Elements/Direct Modeling worker and a Creo Elements/Direct Drafting worker, with File-Synchronization enabled, are running on a single worker machine, some publish jobs fail to publish due to timeouts errors
  • This issue occurs only when simultaneously publishing on both CEDD and CEDM workers in parallel
  • The following error is displayed in the WVS Job Monitor after for the Creo Elements Direct Modeling job and it fails.
$ERROR$ Failed to create file E:\\ftproot\\ftptemp\\w7i1j38\\0000000360_sdpc.pvz.
  • While this issue is occurring, Publish Jobs for other File Sync workers on the same host (e.g. NX, Inventor, SolidWorks, etc.) will also fail with time-out errors due to the WWGM processes being held up by the Creo Elements /Direct Modeling publishing
  • They will continue to fail until the WWGM process of the problematic Creo Elements/Direct Modeling publish job are shutdown automatically or manually killed
