KEPServerEX supports communications to a Siemens S5 PLC through the 9359-LAN (SS-LAN) module, which is a compact unit that plugs onto the fifteen-pin programming connector of an S5 CPU and provides an Ethernet port. It is available from several German suppliers. Kepware's Siemens S5 driver can be used through its virtual COM port feature.
