Description

  • When save a copy model file to STEP format file with a Chinese characters as file name, it prompts warning message: Invalid Name. Check to ensure filename contains only legal characters.
  • Can I save the step file as a Chinese file name? Searching online, I found that the configuration can be set to creo_less_restrictive_names, but the new version does not have this option; or can I save it as English first and then manually change the file name to Chinese, so that the file Is it possible that it won't open?
  • When  saving a model checked into PLM to STP format using Save As a Copy command in Creo client,  the new file name is auto numbering by default; fails to save with error invalid character if Chinese fine name is input. Unable to select file format using Saving As backup
  • Export assembly in which the component's name includes Chinese characters to STEP, then the component's name is missing when import the STEP into Creo again
  • Export the STP format file of the CAD document from the Windchill system (the components and assemblies in the STP file have Chinese names). When import it into the Creo software offline, the Chinese names of the assemblies and components will be cleared and renamed.
