Modified: 25-Jul-2019

Applies To

  • Creo Simulate 6.0.0.0

Description

  • How to change/control accuracy of the Weld when converted to solid
  • Creo is using Creo default Accuracy which has an impact on Creo Simulate Analysis as user is getting warning : Some contacting components have large differences in their tolerance values. This may cause meshing problems, or lead to unexpected results. Use Tools > Tolerance Report for more information.
  • Scenario:
    1. Assembly with 2 welded parts and both parts have accuracy set to Absolute 0.01.
    2. Convert Weld to Solid, then go to Simulate Application and show Tolerance Report from Tools Tab
    3. Note that Weld has :
    • Different Tolerance Value compared to the Tolerance Value of Parts
    • Accuracy Type as Relative while Accuracy parts is Absolute
    • Accuracy Value is 0.0012 while Accuracy parts is 0.01
