Description

  • Microsoft Word document with extension *.doc can no longer be published 
    • Error Code:16004
Error Message:
Error message from the primary converter:
ALC-PDG-016-004-An error was encountered while processing
  • Excel files having the extension .xls cannot be published with error message:
Document fails to publish with error "doc2pv Error:63002: Failed to publish document file "<path><name>.xls" to "<path><name>.pdf"
OR

Error message from the primary converter:
ALC-PDG-016-004-An error was encountered while processing the Microsoft Excel file for PDF generation.
  • Publishing fails on AEM when office document from Word, Excel, or Powerpoint is in Protected View mode
  • Sometimes, It may shows as Compatibility Mode when Open it with Microsoft Excel, while displayed in Protected View Mode when open from <Adobe>\Adobe Adobe_Experience_Manager_Forms\temp\pdfg-XXX_\XX
    • Create PDF using the AEM Admin UI fails and It get the below error in server.log :

  • How to turn off or get rid of Protected View on the AEM Server or Office Worker?
  • For Word documents, the following error is thrown:
