Impact

  • PTC/Setup - PTC/Setup is the installation program used by most PTC products.  After January 10th it will no longer be possible to install many CD’s that use PTC/Setup.
  • NMSD - Pro/ENGINEER may not communicate effectively with Pro/TOOLKIT applications, or with Pro/INTRALINK. Furthermore, Pro/INTERFACE for CaDDS5 may not function properly.

Note:  Windows Platforms are unaffected by the PTC/Setup issue for this Product/Release.

Note:  PTC/Setup is NOT required to reconfigure an existing installation.  It is ONLY required for a new installation or updating an existing installation.

o        IMPORTANT:  You MUST uninstall your existing Pro/ENGINEER installation before installing this new Datecode.

  • PTC/SetupThis file is required to run PTC/Setup from an existing CD or CD Image.  (You will still need NMSD.exe to run the application that was installed using this new PTC/Setup file.)  When available, download the files and follow the Instructions for PTC/Setup below.
  • NMSDThis file is required to run the current Release and Build of software you have installed.  This file will replace the current NMSD file in your current installations allowing them to function beyond January 10, 2004.  When available, download the files and follow the Instructions for NMSD below.
    • This fix will resolve interoperability with Pro/Toolkit applications and Workgroup Managers.  If using Pro/INTRALINK additional patches are required to resolve the interoperability.  Please review the Pro/INTRALINK Resource Page for your release.
