Prepare to Edit and View Procedures

After you've captured content using the Vuforia Capture app, you'll use Editor to transform it into step-by-step procedures. We recommend the user who captures the procedure take the first pass at editing it. Once published, frontline workers across the organization can find and use those procedures, instantly, via Vuforia View—ensuring everyone has access to the latest and best instructions.

Complete training: Vuforia Editor

Vuforia Editor is an easy-to-use, web-based environment where you will transform captures into finished work instructions. If you were not the one who recorded the capture, ask the author to help you edit it. To get started, open Vuforia Editor and sign in. After uploading a capture, you can add descriptive text, images, and videos to each step. Edit or rearrange steps as needed. Save in-progress procedures to the cloud. Once the procedure is complete, publish it to the Vuforia Experience Service. The procedure is optimized to function on a mobile or eyewear device. It’s also possible to publish procedures to Microsoft Word or PDF.

PTC offers a one day, on-site, hands-on training workshop to prepare the key members of your team to create and publish procedures using Vuforia Expert Capture. Contact your PTC sales representative to learn more.

Complete training: Vuforia View

Vuforia View is an app that empowers workers to find and view work instructions in the optimal device-specific delivery format. The app walks users through manufacturing, repair, and service procedures, step by step. Using a phone, tablet, or eyewear device, the viewer sees the procedure from their own point of view, in their real environment. They navigate through the steps at their own pace, pausing playback as needed. To get started, download the Vuforia View app from your device’s app library/store. You must log in to access your company’s procedures. Look up a specific procedure using a QR code or URL.
