    Training Central Is the name of the system that houses our newest training content. This system is home to our LEARN Online subscription, our new In-Center courses, and our updated eLearning

    1. Training Central = Is the name of the system that houses our newest training content. This system is home to our LEARN Online subscription, our new In-Center courses, and our updated eLearning.
    2. V-ILT = Virtual Instructor Led Training. These courses are all 3 hours in duration.
    3. ILT = Instructor Led Training refers to our in-person classroom training. These types of trainings are not included in the LEARN Online subscription. However, you can take the courses offered in these in-person classrooms through your LEARN Online subscription. Sometimes referred to as In-Centers.
    4. eLearning = Self-paced videos available upon demand. Usually include the word “basic” in the title. These videos are typically 30 to 60 minutes in duration.
    5. In-Centers = Refers to our Instructor Led Training (ILT) that we offer onsite.
    6. Virtual Classroom = Refers to Virtual Instructor Led Training (V-ILT) as these courses are all delivered virtually.
    7. LEARN Online Subscription = Refers to the subscription that gives you unlimited access to a catalog of PTC courses taught virtually by live instructors.
    8. LEARN Online Subscription Licenses= Refers to the number of licenses (sometimes referred to as seats) that a customer has purchased. 1 license = 1 student that gets access to the training.
    9. Site Admin = Is the member at your organization that is responsible for managing your LEARN Online subscription. They should be your first point of contact regarding your LEARN Online subscription.
    10. Course Catalog = Refers to all the courses that we offer under a software. We currently offer a catalog specifically for: Creo, Windchill, ThingWorx, & ThingWorx Kepware.
    11. My Course Page = A student's transcript. This page houses all the courses you are currently enrolled in and have completed.
    12. Course Materials = The student guide that is provided for each V-ILT course.
    13. Class Environment = The training environment that is provided for each V-ILT course.
    14. User Status:
      • Not Completed = User has enrolled in a course/session but has yet to complete or attend the session
      • Subscribed = User has enrolled in an upcoming course
      • Completed = User has completed and attended the course in full

  • General System Requirements

    1. Recommended Browsers:
      • Mozilla FireFox (latest version)
      • Google Chrome (latest version)
      • Microsoft Edge (latest version)
    2. Disconnect from any VPN
  • Class Environments

    1. Creo class environments are powered by Amazon Appstream 2.0. To view a list of system requirements please click here. There are two ways to connect to the training environment via either the client desktop app or through your preferred browser. We recommend downloading the client desktop app ahead of enrolling in classes to better prepare you for class. We also recommend that you watch this helpful video that demonstrates the different options to connect.
    2. ThingWorx course environments are launched by Microsoft Remote Desktop. Most standard PC computers come equipped with RDP. To install Microsoft Remote Desktop click here.
  • Cisco WebEx

    1. Cisco Webex is the platform that we use to deliver our instructor led courses. To test that your computer can successfully connect to WebEx we recommend that you join a test WebEx and review WebEx System Requirements.
      • Audio: Class audio is delivered through your computer’s speakers or headphones.
  • Accessing Course Materials in Vitrium

    1. All student guides are provided via Vitrium. To access the course materials, please review this helpful guide. We recommend waiting at least 5 minutes before you attempt to access the course materials after you’ve enrolled in the class. If you are experiencing issues regarding a proxy server or firewall, we recommend reviewing this document here. You can access the guide for up to one calendar year. You have the option to print the materials yourself or print to PDF.
