Creo packages FAQs

How much does each Creo design package cost?

Pricing for our Creo Design Essentials package, Creo Design Suites, and select Creo Extensions can be found on the Creo filtered list within the PTC Store. To discuss pricing of more Creo Design packages, reach out to our Creo experts here.

Can I buy individual add-ons instead of upgrading the full package?

Yes! At a minimum, Creo users must purchase a license of the Creo Design Essentials package. Check out our store listing for instant access, or contact our sales representatives for more information.

After purchasing Creo Design Essentials, any of our Creo extensions (Generative Design Extension, Creo Simulation Live, Creo Advanced Assembly Extension, GD&T Advisor, etc.) may be purchased as an individual add-on. To do so, contact a sales representative here.

The PTC Store also features Creo Suites which contain licenses that include Creo Design Essentials and some of our most popular extensions, ready for purchase in just a few clicks. Check out the Suites here.

Can I upgrade my Creo package at any time?

Yes, our Creo experts can help you upgrade your Creo Design package at any time – reach out here.

If you are looking to upgrade your Creo version (e.g. Creo 10) to the latest version (Creo 13), check out our web page here.

Can different users in the same organization use different Creo packages?

Absolutely! Creo Design packages are offered as “Locked” or “Floating” licenses. Check out the licensing basis table for more details.

Locked licenses are limited to being used on the computer on which they are installed. If two users are attributed locked licenses, one may be a Creo Design Essentials license and one may be a Creo Design Engineering license. In this case, two users in the same organization have different packages.

Floating licenses can be used by one user at a time, enabling teams to “share” a single license on the same server, between multiple individuals. In this case, a single floating license shared between two people will utilize the same Creo package. However, if two floating licenses are purchased to be shared between four users, the two floating licenses may be for different Creo packages.
