NEEDHAM, MASS., November 9, 2015 – PTC (Nasdaq: PTC) today announced the appointment of Craig Hayman to a newly created role of group president, Solutions Group, effective November 23, 2015. An accomplished technology executive, Hayman has more than 30 years of deep managerial expertise and leadership experience in enterprise technology, including cloud and SaaS-based solutions.
Hayman will join PTC from eBay Enterprise, a global provider of retail-optimized omni-channel commerce solutions, where he has served as President since July 2014. During his tenure, Hayman led the company's transformation to focus on commerce technology, enterprise operations and services, and marketing services. Most recently, he led the unit's sale and separation from eBay to a consortium of buyers.
"By establishing a dedicated Solutions Group, PTC is making a strategic investment in its core businesses," said Jim Heppelmann, president and CEO of PTC. "Craig has the deep expertise and the proven experience needed to lead this new organization, to help drive differentiation in our core offerings, and to reenergize their growth opportunity. We're pleased to welcome such an accomplished executive to the PTC leadership team."
Previously, Hayman served more than 15 years in senior leadership positions at IBM, including as worldwide general manager of IBM's SaaS portfolio. During that tenure, he led the acquisition of more than a dozen companies, established IBM's SaaS business, and greatly expanded the company's overall commerce business.
"I am excited to join PTC during a pivotal time in the company's transformation," said Hayman. "PTC's leadership position in the Internet of Things spans both vision and technology. I welcome the opportunity to revitalize PTC's core businesses through improved execution and optimization, and to enhance the company’s solutions portfolio to help drive long term, profitable growth."
Separately, PTC has named Michael DiTullio to lead the company’s global sales organization, reporting to the new Solutions Group president. DiTullio is a 15-year veteran in the PTC sales organization, most recently serving as leader of the company's European sales organization. DiTullio will replace Bob Ranaldi, who is leaving the company after a period of transition to pursue other opportunities.
"During Bob's years of sales leadership we significantly increased both the top and bottom line of PTC," said Heppelmann. "We are grateful for the tremendous contributions he has made to our success. We are also fortunate to have a deep bench in our global sales leadership team and are confident that Mike will provide both continuity and a fresh perspective as he takes on this new leadership position."
