How does it all work? Let’s take our example of integration between the engineering notebook and modeling environments. When you log into the PTC University eLearning site, choose the PTC Mathcad library. Under there you’ll see a list of courses that cover old and new versions of PTC Mathcad. We’ll choose “PTCMathcad Prime 3.1 Integration with Creo Parametric 3.0 (M030).”
In this two hour lesson, you’ll go through the steps to push data from PTC Mathcad to PTC Creo, as well as using PTC Creo to return data back to PTC Mathcad. You’ll also learn to insert PTC Mathcad worksheets directly into PTC Creo. At the end of each topic, a Pro/FICIENCY skills assessment quizzes you on what you’ve learned, helping to embed the knowledge.
Do you have users who are newer to PTC Mathcad? Don’t take your advanced users away from their projects to train the new hires. PTC Subscription has you covered. Give them access to PTC University and assign the PTC Mathcad Application Orientation. It starts with basics like opening new files, and methodically moves through equations, variables, functions, vectors, and more. Users aren’t required to complete the seven hour course in a single sitting. They can pick modules and finish them at their own speed.
If your project schedule is too busy to dedicate blocks of training time, encourage users to run through eLearning modules while they work. You don’t have to log into the PTC Precision Learning Management System (LMS) to get the content. With the PTC Learning Connector, you have access to PTC University modules directly within your tools. If data exchanges or plotting are new to you, run through the lessons while you’re working on a project.
PTC University give you robust reporting to track your employee’s progress, too. Check on all your available modules, who is assigned to them, and their progress. You can even see how well they’re doing in each one, so you can measure the effectiveness for yourself.
