Vuforia Expert Capture Product and Device Workshop

Receive end to end training on developing Vuforia Expert Capture procedures and create and publish your own short procedure.


In this service, a PTC Expert will train you on the use of Vuforia Expert Capture and provide an opportunity to practice creating production ready procedures with your own use case. The training includes functional, technical, and business considerations, as well as best practice tips and hands-on exercises spanning the three modules of Vuforia Expert Capture; Vuforia Capture, Vuforia Editor, and Vuforia View.

How it Works

This is a 2-day training workshop and includes the following activities:

  1. Overview of Vuforia Expert Capture (functionality, business value)
  2. Implementation methodology, including planning of procedures
  3. Hardware and Software Setup for the RealWear HMT-1
  4. Capturing procedures with Vuforia Capture
  5. Editing procedures using Vuforia Editor
  6. Viewing procedures using Vuforia View 
  7. Administration of Vuforia Expert Capture
  8. Creating a short procedure with your production use case


The following criteria must be met before this service can be consumed:

  • Vuforia Expert Capture has already been purchased
  • Vuforia Expert Capture ‘organization’ has been defined in the PTC Cloud and client Administrator provided access
  • Access to Vuforia Expert Capture on the internet confirmed for the onsite training location (i.e. not blocked by firewalls, etc.)
  • You have identified production use case and outlined why it is of high value
  • You have identified at least one procedure (~10 steps) that is related to the production use case to complete during the workshop
  • At least one RealWear HMT-1 device is available for every 4 students provided by you (PTC instructor will only bring a device for themselves)
  • WIFI connectivity at the location confirmed for trainer and attendees
