Retrieve Data From Windchill with RestAPI

Learn to use available Windchill data in a custom Navigate application.

The Retrieve Data from Windchill with RestAPI rapid outcome is a mentoring service that helps customers tailor their ThingWorx Navigate instance with unique Windchill data that can drive business processes forward.

Working with a PTC subject-matter expert, you will leverage REST services to expose the data you need from Windchill and integrate it with your Navigate Mashup.

How it works

This rapid outcome is an 8-hour engagement and includes the following activities:

  1. A kick-off call to outline goals, review your use case and understand what data to retrieve
  2. Extensive guidance and mentoring on how to retrieve data for customer Navigate Mashup (Limited to five objects and five relationships)

Prerequisites

The following criteria must be met before this service can be consumed:

  • You must complete a Customer Questionnaire
  • You must have one identified use case (up to 2 for a smaller use case) for PTC to review
  • You must provide remote access capability for a PTC expert and have an environment to retrieve data
  • Windchill must be installed and configured
  • Navigate must be installed and configured
  • You must complete the “Understand Windchill Data Model” Rapid Outcome
