Kharkov News: Ukrainian Universities Partner to Keep Agricultural Machinery Skills Alive

The launch of a new educational farming program took place on August 28 on the campus of Kharkiv National Technical University of Agriculture.

Called “Farming,” the curriculum includes, among other things,  practical construction of tractor components and assemblies. “It all starts with training. Without qualified personnel, then there is no future development of the agricultural sector,” said Deputy Head of Kharkiv Regional State Administration, Yulia Svetlichnaya. “We are moving forward, developing new directions and opportunities for students to further their future work. ”

Innovative and educational courses will use the latest technology and modern agricultural machinery with students working on land acquired just  last June. The program will offer a demonstration laboratory with equipment donated by Lozovsky Forging-Mechanical Plant (Ed. “Lozovsky Machines” featured in the video below.).

In addition, students will use modern computer-aided design (PTC Creo), from  American company PTC. This software will become the basis for a new course called “CAD / CAE / PDM systems, design of agricultural machinery.” Read more (right click and select Translate for English).
