Top Taiwanese OEM Improves Leverage of Client Designs with PTC Creo

If you ever visit Tainan City, Taiwan, look for the Taiwan Metal Creation Museum. This unique cultural center is dedicated to the history and importance of a seemingly ordinary commodity—sheet metal. Founded by Chih Kang Material Company Ltd., the museum illustrates how sheet metal is not only fabricated into a key component of many modern products, but is also a creative, even beautiful material.

Chih Kang Material Company is an OEM sheet metal fabricator started in 1995 by six friends. Its Taiwan Metal Creation Museum combines stories about the company’s history with the technology of sheet metal fabrication. It also features local culture, such as the endangered black-faced spoonbill that winters near Tainan City, and the Anping sword lion—an emblem that locals placed above the entrances to their homes to ward off intruders.
