Basics of Design Intent and Reference Management

In this 90-minute lecture and demo session, you’ll learn to build and compare models that have been created with and without design intent. At the end of the session, you’ll be able to identify weaknesses in a model’s construction and determine how the construction predictability is affected during model regeneration. You’ll be able to invoke design changes that break models and use various methods of incorporating design intent and reference management to resolve and prevent future errors.

Introduction to Windchill FMEA

In this 90-minute course, you’ll get an introduction to Windchill’s Failure Mode Effect Analysis (FMEA), an early warning system that designers can use to methodically study and correct failures before the system, design, process, or service is finalized. As a part of the Windchill Risk and Reliability suite, Windchill FMEA can guide product testing procedures, link product component verification to functional requirements, identify manufacturing controls necessary to minimize system risks, and reduce costly rework. You will explore Windchill FMEA from data entry and RPN calculations to the analysis and follow-up actions that correct possible failures.
