Before the onset of COVID-19, face masks were always a critical part of a medical worker's day. A face mask is another element of protection, while still allowing the worker to provide the utmost level of care.
As we continue to battle the COVID-19 outbreak, masks have become arguably one of the most crucial and sought-after medical supplies, leaving those who require protection for their job, with short supply.
With the uptick in demand for masks for those on our front lines, C&A, one of Europe’s leading fashion retailers, with over 1,400 stores in 18 European countries, quickly reacted to the global supply shortage. The company has donated 240,000 protective masks to medical workers across Europe.
“We are all in this unprecedented situation together and need to leverage our stocks and supply chain know-how to support medical professionals working on the frontlines treating patients,” said Jeffrey Hogue, C&A’s Chief Sustainability Officer.
Still family owned after six generations, C&A is just as committed to its customers as it was at when the company launched in 1841. Despite the difficult circumstances, it's companies like C&A that have gone the extra mile to fight the pandemic.
From everyone at PTC, we’d like to extend our gratitude and thanks to C&A for the contribution, as we continue to endure this challenging time.
