Manage Localized Service and Parts Information

Reduce your localization costs utilizing PTC's Service Information Manager Translation Management processes.

In this service, a PTC Service Information Manager expert will provide eight (8) hours of support to assist you in configuring the Translation Management settings.

This includes one (1) pivot language and up to ten (10) language pairs. We will also configure the interchange process for up to three (3) Language Service Providers (LSPs).

How It Works

This Rapid Outcome is an 8 hour engagement and includes the following activities:

  1. A Customer Success Manager will send the customer a Translation Management Questionnaire.
  2. You must complete the Translation Management Questionnaire and submit it to PTC.
  3. A PTC SIM expert will:
    • Pre-populate the Translation Management Configuration Form
    • Configure the Translation Management process with you
  4. You and a PTC SIM expert will test and validate the translation process per the TM best practices.
  5. You and the SIM expert will move settings to production.


The following criteria must be met before this service can be consumed:

  • You must have Windchill SIM 11.x or higher.
  • You must have completed Windchill Administration Training.
  • You must have completed Translation Management Questionnaire.
  • You must have sample content to test translation process (1 Info Structure or Pub Structure with content).
  • You must have translation base configuration is available in SIM.
  • You must provide remote access to the environment (directly or through WebEx).
