Industry's first integral solution for Manufacturing Process Management (MPM)

• With Windchill 9.0, PTC introduces Windchill MPMLink, an optional module that improves efficiency and time-to-market by enabling design and manufacturing engineers to concurrently define the product design and its manufacturing processes.

Enhanced product development process support

• Change & Configuration Management - Out-of-the-box tasks make it easier to create, group and manage change requests while new configuration management capabilities include the ability to create and validate customer-specific product variations.
• Detailed Design - Design efficiency has been enhanced with many new CAD data management capabilities.
• Variant Design and Generation - Windchill 9.0 provides the capability for users to quickly create and validate customer-specific product variations based on a defined set of available options.
• Design Outsourcing - Windchill 9.0 also has smarter replication capabilities to improve system performance and availability for remote users and external partners.
• Technical Publications - Windchill 9.0 extends Arbortext integration to Windchill ProjectLink, enabling authors to collaborate during the document development process.

Improved usability and supportability

• Windchill 9.0 offers a host of usability improvements such as improved tables, form enhancements, workflow improvements, and support for Adobe forms. Windchill 9.0 also simplifies deployment and supportability with easier installation, improved system monitoring and enhanced usage reporting.

Faster visualization

• The new embedded ProductView Lite in Windchill 9.0 improves user productivity with significant performance improvements in loading, rendering, interaction and distribution of visualization data.

New Reporting Capabilities

• Windchill 9.0 introduces Windchill Business Reporting, based on the industry-leading Cognos 8 Business Intelligence, which includes free, pre-built reports. The optional Windchill Business Report Author module allows you to use Cognos to create your own reports or modify existing ones.
