ProductView MCAD Adapters

ProductView MCAD adapters provide the ability to ‘publish’ native CAD files to lightweight accurate ProductView viewable formats. The adapters can be used in two modes:

1) As a standalone ‘batch mode’ executable which may be run from the command line or integrated into other software environments.

2) As a ‘worker’, typically used in ProductView Graphics Server or Windchill configurations. In worker mode, the adapter is started once and continues to run, awaiting ‘jobs’ from either the Graphics Server or Windchill.

MCAD adapters are additional cost items.

ProductView PDF provides the ability to ‘publish’ PDF files for View, Markup within ProductView. The adapters can be used in two modes:

Additional module for ProductView Standard Edition or Lite Edition which allows view/markup/print/watermarking of PDFfiles in ProductView (Lite and Standard client). It includes a "special" version of Adobe Acrobat (NOT Adobe Reader). This option also provides Annotation with Adobe tools

ProductView PDF Collaboration Interface

Additional module for ProductView Standard Edition or Lite Edition which allows view/markup/print/watermarking of PDFfiles. It is appropriate for customers who already have seats of Adobe Acrobat (NOT Adobe Reader) - or who intend to purchase Acrobat via other means (e.g. via an Adobe reseller).

ProductView ECAD support

ProductView ECAD Viewing option is an additional software component that must be installed to import the following formats.

We recommend ProductView ECAD customers migrate to the PTC InterComm solution family. InterComm solution is an additional cost item.

Available with ProductView Standard Edition ONLY and provides the native viewing of a wide range of document office style document. Word, word perfect, excel etc. and image formats This is basically the Inside-out plugin that was part of the standard client up to ProductView 7.0. This is the Stellent viewer that pre-R8 standard client was packaged with, now an optional module. Supports Standard Word processing formats, spreadsheet formats, database formats, presentation formats. Refer to the tables below for specific formats.
