NEW Worksheet Compare Function

The new Worksheet Compare function allows you to visually compare two similar worksheets and quickly identify added, changed, or removed regions. This feature is perfect for those times when you have two similar worksheets, or iterations of the same worksheet, and you are trying to determine which one to use. The Worksheet Compare function enhances collaboration, worksheet reuse, and your ability to document and audit engineering calculations.

ENHANCED Worksheet Search Functionality

The worksheet Search function now identifies search results in collapsed or hidden regions of your worksheets, enabling a more complete reporting of search results. This is a real time-saver, and improves engineering design efficiency, quality, and collaboration.

IMPROVED Plotting & Graphing

Mathcad 14.0 features a new tab for customizing the number format on your 2D plot axes. This is perfect for those instances where you want to control your axes for optimal display and documentation of your results.

Mathcad 14.0 also now offers support for negative radii on polar plots, improving plot quality and clarity - perfect for electrical design engineers analyzing electromagnetic radiation for communications or antenna designs.

ENHANCED Explicit Calculations With "Inline" Numeric Evaluation

You asked that Explicit Calculations be simplified, and we listened. You can now define and evaluate equations in a single statement - inline - enabling compact documentation and support for standard report formats.

Inline numeric evaluation saves space on your worksheet and improves worksheet organization and clarity. This also improves the existing explicit calculation capability by binding the variable name to the result of the inline numeric evaluation.

This enhancement improves the clarity of your worksheets and enables easier verification and auditing, especially if you need to submit worksheets as part of a design proposal or formal report.

NEW & ENHANCED Symbolics

If you do Symbolic Math, Mathcad 14.0 is for you! We've improved our Symbolics engine to provide you better accuracy and reliability as well as powerful new capabilities. Mathcad 14.0's new symbolics features give you unmatched power to derive formulas, demonstrate process, and document engineering reasoning. New capabilities include symbolic vectorization, solve fully, new and enhanced keywords, continued fraction expansion, extended, piecewise, and repeating solutions.

We've also added a gradient operator and Jacobian matrices to enable vector analysis, particularly as input for genfit and stiff ordinary differential equation (ODE) solvers. Applicable in both symbolics and numerical analysis, these features enable streamlined and clearer vector analysis calculations for power users and mechanical design engineers.

NEW & IMPROVED Ordinary Differential Equation Features

Mathcad 14.0 includes new solvers that make even the most difficult ODE problems easy to solve. You can now solve ODEs faster and more reliably for design problems with varying scale and periodicity of solutions. This improvement benefits a broad range of engineers, especially mechanical engineers.

We've also added statespace for ODE matrix operations. Perfect for capturing and documenting intellectual property, you can now enter linear systems of ODEs in discipline-correct statespace notation.

NEW Mathematical Characters

Mathcad's new mathematical font dramatically expands the mathematical symbols you can use in your worksheets. Greek characters, math operators, symbols, arrows - the Mathcad-UniMath font contains nearly 2000 mathematical symbols, characters, glyphs, and icons, to add flair and publishing-quality clarity to your Mathcad worksheets. Migration Guide and Other Mathcad Resources

Mathcad's online resources continue to provide hundreds of worksheets that illustrate the depth of Mathcad's mathematical power and the variety of applications that Mathcad supports. All of these worksheets are live, so as you read the Tutorials or QuickSheets, you see Mathcad at work - you can change the inputs and see the results in the outputs as they update. A new Solving and Optimization Library E-book is now available with Mathcad 14.0.

You will also receive the Mathcad 14.0 Migration Guide, which discusses math constructs that have been upgraded in recent versions, and any compatibility issues those may create with older versions of Mathcad. This enables you to quickly get up to speed on the latest version of Mathcad, and optimally leverage your previously created worksheets and intellectual property.
