Incorporating the as-flown configurations by either tail number or aircraft type refines the plan at the revision level. The planning process starts with the activity of the fleet. This can be represented by aggregate flight hours or cycles for a station and fleet type, or through fully detailed flight routes by type. Demand planning logic computes demand rates for part failures by location. This in turn drives optimized inventory targets by location to achieve the targeted service levels at the lowest possible cost-per-flight-hour.
