PTC Receives $2 Million US-Dollar Follow-On Order from Liebherr Group

Heavy Equipment Industry Leader Expands Commitment to PTC® Solutions

NEEDHAM, Mass. – October 12, 2001 – PTC (Nasdaq: PMTC), the product development company, today announced it received a $2 million Dollar follow-on order for PTC's Pro/ENGINEER® software and services from Liebherr Group, one of the world's largest providers of construction and civil engineering machinery. The software was shipped during PTC's third fiscal quarter (ended June 30, 2001).

Ten Liebherr subsidiaries have standardized on PTC's Pro/ENGINEER software, and have already benefited from higher productivity and product quality improvements. In addition, Liebherr's Aerospace Business Unit is using PTC's Windchill® software solution. The latest Pro/ENGINEER order will expand the implementation in Liebherr subsidiaries worldwide, including Bischofshofen, Colmar, Friedrichshafen, Kirchdorf, Kempten, Nenzing, Lindenberg, Telfs and Vienna. The new software will allow existing users to take advantage of recent advancements to the Pro/ENGINEER product including more powerful behavioral modeling and quality control.
