PTC and Accenture Join Forces to Provide CPC Solution at KLA-Tencor
WALTHAM, Mass., October 16, 2000 - PTC (Nasdaq: PMTC), a leading provider of collaborative product commerce (CPC) solutions, working with Accenture, today announced it has received an order from KLA-Tencor for software and services. KLA-Tencor, the world's leading supplier of process control and yield management solutions for the semiconductor and related microelectronics industries, will implement PTC's Windchill as a foundation for the company's strategic remote manufacturing and engineering initiatives. PTC, through its Windchill software, will provide Web-centric B2B enterprise solutions that enable KLA-Tencor product development teams, customer support teams, strategic partners, and manufacturing facilities to collaborate throughout the product lifecycle. The software was shipped during PTC's fourth fiscal quarter ended September 30, 2000.
