ICEM Technologies Plans To Incorporate Latest Release of ICEM Surface Modeling Technology Into Ford Motor Company's C3P Program

ARDEN HILLS, Minn., September 18, 1998 - ICEM Technologies, Inc., a subsidiary of Parametric Technology Corporation (NASDAQ:PMTC), announced today that it plans to incorporate functionality from its latest surface modeling release into the Advanced Free-Form Surfacing module being used as part of Ford Motor Company's C3P Program.

The functionality provided by ICEM is based on its premier Class A surface modeling product, ICEM Surf. ICEM's German organization, ICEM Systems GmbH, will continue to supply this advanced CAD surface modeling technology to Ford Motor Company through I-DEAS Master Series software from Structural Dynamics Research Corporation (SDRC).
