Medical Plan coverage

You and PTC will share the cost of your medical plan. You will have the choice of a nationwide Open Access Plan through CIGNA or local HMO's based the state you reside in.

PTC's National Medical
Employees and family members can select a health care provider in the U.S., with incentives for choosing providers that are part of the plan's network, and lower benefits when you use out-of-network providers.

HMO Options
Employees can select a primary care physician to coordinate all of their health care, including referrals to specialists.

Dental Plan
You and PTC share in the cost of your dental plan, you have the choice of two plans; a high option & low option both offered through Aetna. You can use any dentist, but you receive the highest benefit when you use Aetna PPO dentists, and lower benefit levels when you use out-of-network dentists.

Vision Plan
Employees can purchase vision coverage through Vision Service Plan (VSP). The plan provides in and out-of-network coverage. Benefits will be higher if you use VSP network providers.

PTC also offers Health & Dependent Care Reimbursement Accounts. Use pretax dollars to pay for medical or dental expenses not covered by your health plan and expenses related to dependent care.

Health Care Reimbursement Account
Employees may set aside up to $3000.00 each year. Some of the reimbursable expenses include deductibles, co-payments, prescriptions, and chiropractic care, and many over-the-counter items such as pain relievers and cold medicines.

Dependent Care Account
Employees may set aside up to $5000 annually to pay for eligible expenses related to childcare or care of a disabled spouse and/or disabled or aged parent. Eligible expenses include licensed nurseries, day-care centers, and individuals who provide dependent care in or outside the home.
