There are lots of ways you can manufacture your designs but if you have access to automated manufacture equipment like CNC or rapid prototyping, CreoTM can help you produce very accurate, well finished models.
Careful assembly and setup is very important.

Prices for Rapid Prototyping a standard Scalextric car build are expected to be in the region of £30.00 Inc. postage. These figures are based on a standard Scalextric4Schools chassis foot print and a wall thickness of no greater than 1.8mm.
UK finals are held in June each year. All schools registered and opting to enter the competition are sent entry forms at Easter. Deadline for entry forms is the end of April. 2012 finals take place on June 24th at RAF Museum, Cosford. When teams are allocated times for their races and interviews with judges.

No manufacture equipment?
One of the real benefits of computer controlled manufacture is the accuracy of parts, which is essential to ensure the connection between the gears the drive gears mesh properly. If your school doesn’t have access to laser cutting or CNC, try contacting colleges or universities that offer manufacturing or engineering courses. Manufacturing companies might also be able to help.
Electronic presentations must be submitted by email to info@scalextric4schools.org no later than the end of October 2012.
The Championships will be held in November 2012. Further details soon.
