Benefits and Description
This new capability allows users to create, review, distribute and track packages of Windchill managed information. Packages are an ideal way to deliver an RFP or RFQ to suppliers, a collection of deliverables for a design or gate review, or CAD models to a manufacturer, design partner, or design analyst. Packages provide offline access to Windchill information to suppliers, design partners, customers, and others outside your Windchill system. A zip file with static offline-Windchill pages and embedded-help, a package can include documents, parts, product structure, CAD files, or engineering changes and associated meta-data. Packages can be sent as attachments or downloaded from a link in a Windchill generated e-mail. As design information changes, new package revisions may be generated, delivered, and tracked.
