Simplified Update Process for the 9.1 Point Release
Windchill 9.1 is a point release, not a major release. As such, updating a Windchill 9.0 installation to Windchill 9.1 will be performed by the PTC Solution Installer. It will not be an upgrade and will not require any data migration.

Benefits and Description
Although the Windchill 9.1 update will contain new feature content, there will be no schema changes between 9.0 and 9.1. Therefore, although there will be a script to generate schema additions, there will be no need to run the Upgrade Manager or migrate data. Instead, the update will be applied using the PTC Solution Installer, and the process will be similar to applying an 8.0 or 7.0 maintenance update.
