Benefits and Description
This feature reduces the number of clicks for users that heavily interact with the Navigator and makes the Navigator perform similarly to Microsoft Outlook’s Navigation Pane.
Prior to Windchill 10.1, the Navigator works as follows: When you open the Navigator by clicking on it, it overlaps the content pane. Then, when you perform an action in it, which requires updating of the content pane, the Navigator closes and the content pane is refreshed.
With Windchill 10.1, by clicking the pin icon, the content pane of the page is pushed to the right to make permanent room for the Navigator. You are then able to resize it. Performing actions that refresh the content pane do not close the Navigator.
